O’Shea Generic Safe Patient Handling Training and Assessment
O’Shea Generic Safe Patient Handling Training and Assessment Course focuses on generic patient handling procedures used to move and transfer patients safely. It complies with health and safety legislation and is endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing for continuing professional education points (CPE).
The course is divided into two units:
Part 1.) Five (5) training modules which provide the participant with a detailed step by step description of the O’Shea Safe Patient Handling procedures and OShea Patient Risk Assessment Tool. Each module has a case study and quiz to assist the learning process. The modules and quizzes are optional.
Part 2.) The Assessment consists of 20 questions on safe patient handling that are randomly selected. Participants must achieve a minimum of 80% correct with a maximum of three (3) attempts. The assessment is compulsory.
